Very informative and can help the laymen understand what a true transformation entails.
Amazingly insightful, full of depth, and addresses questions of the heart that many true disciples of Jesus long to know the answers to. The book opens the doors to examining the authenticity and sincerity of our faith, as well as to question our understanding of how we really view our relationship with Christ, his body, the poor, etc. Love it!

Great book!!! It is a must read if you are in any leadership position or if you have found yourself stagnant.
What a wonderful, revealing look at Christianity in its purest form. The call to simply return to our first love-Jesus. It's a challenge to be truly conformed to the image of our Lord against the grain of our society, culture, and norms. A reminder of how much we are loved by God and how generously we should lavish that love on his people. To be different, holy, set apart, sanctified- it starts and ends with JESUS. This is a call to be forever changed, and in turn, to change the world for HIS glory.
What a refreshing and challenging read. Different has led me to question more deeply my walk with Christ and is potent to stir up faith and leave you changed. The authors themselves are living examples of a different and holy life (I go to The Greenhouse Church) and I am stirred to do the same. This book has helped me to sort through difficult issues like shame, being and making disciples, and many more. It superbly goes beyond a good read, adding the challenge of calling its readers to a different and set apart life.
This book was written by Mike Patz and Brian Sanders. I know Mike Patz personally and he is a dynamic Pastor with a church full of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. He knows how to talk to intellectuals and people unsure about the gospel message. It's probably unknown exactly how many members of his church there are--but they give 50% of their money to missions and their building is very, very small and ordinary. They have many services during the weekend, just so everyone has a chance to hear such a great speaker of the Word. Pastor Mike lives what he writes. I attended his church while living in Gainesville, FL and he is the best preacher I have ever heard in my 35 plus years of being a practicing Christian. This book is relevant, motivating, and has a stimulating vocabulary. (just like the man who wrote it) It is full of cutting edge ideas and talks the talk, so you can walk the walk. Run to buy this book and read it as soon as possible. It will change you, forever.
